A time for…

Here in PNG our life looks so different from our life in Central Illinois.

I use a four wheeler to get around if needed. Letty and I use it nearly every Sunday to go feed and groom one of the horses here in Ukarumpa.

Cleaning hooves at 9 years old. I was nervous to do this when I was in high school!

We buy all our fresh fruits and veggies from an open air market and we wash it in vinegar and water before consuming it.

Ivy loves to help wash dishes and veggies!

Working here in PNG, Fred has been away from a lot more than he was before.

These are some of the “welcomes” Fred gets to experience when he is away!

We also rarely get to see the moon because we are rarely outside after dark…. But the other night the moon was shining so brightly it got our attention through the curtains!

While our life may look a bit different than yours, COVID-19 still affects us here. We are forced to slow down too. We spend a lot of evenings playing games and reading books together as a family. Adults are required to wear masks to our store. And regulations for the country are changing ALL the time!

So while our daily life may look different than yours I am reminded so often of the verses from ‭‭Ecclesiastes‬ ‭3 that says:

“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:”
‭‭
